With Councillor Wong-Tam's announcement, Toronto Centre Projects will no longer be accepting new proposals as the last Toronto & East York Community Council meeting for our office is April 21, 2022 and we have passed the agenda closing date.
Proposals are submitted and promoted by residents in the community. Residents are asked to gather support for their proposal (amend a policy, initiate a project, change parking regulations, etc).
Submitted proposals have 120 days to reach the required threshold of 60 supporters in order to be considered by Councillor Wong-Tam’s Office. This metric is designed to ensure community support. Without completion of this first step, the proposal will not move forward.
- It must fall within the policy areas and competencies of Toronto City Council;
- It serves the public interest rather than your individual interest;
- It does not discriminate based on gender, sexual orientation, race, age, or socio-economic background; and
- It does not harm others.
